Mac OS X: Organize system settings
Under OS X Mavericks you can individually determine the order of your system settings for your Mac. Individual modules can be deactivated here to make the menu clearer. You can find out how it works in our practical tip.
Rearrange system settings
You can rearrange the elements in your system settings as follows:
- Start the system settings in your dock.
- On the Apple toolbar, click Settings> Customize ...
- Check marks now appear next to the respective symbols (see image). You can remove them with a click to deactivate individual modules and thus make the system settings clearer.
- Then you have to click on "Done" to save the new arrangement.
- By clicking on "Settings"> "Sort by category" or "Sort alphabetically", your modules are automatically sorted according to the selected parameter.
