Mac OS X: Change keyboard layout - how it works
This practical tip shows you how to change the keyboard layout under Mac OS X. If you want to compose Russian messages, for example, you can set the Cyrillic keyboard with the following instructions.
How to change the keyboard layout on Mac OS X.
- You can find the necessary settings by clicking on the Apple icon in the status bar and selecting "System Settings ...".
- Open the icon with the caption "Language & Region" in the upper area.
- A new window is opening up. Click here on "Keyboard".
- Use the plus at the bottom left to select a new keyboard layout from the list.
- Click "Add" and then remove the previous keyboard layout by clicking on the appropriate language and the minus symbol.
