Mac OS X: Text modules with on-board resources
You can use text modules in Mac OS X in all programs by specifying combinations of characters and corresponding substitutions in the system settings. We'll show you how.
Text modules with on-board resources under Mac OS X
- Go to the "System Settings".
- Click on "Keyboard" and then on "Text".
- Click on a free field in the list on the left. Alternatively, click on the "+" at the bottom left.
- Enter an abbreviation in the "Replace" area - eg "lg". In the "By" area, enter the text that should replace this abbreviation - in this case, "love".
- For example, if you type the "lg" combination in the mail program, it will automatically be replaced by "love".
