Mac OS X: Let the time be read aloud - how it works

If you don't want to look at the screen permanently to find out the time, you can save yourself a bit of work with the next steps.
- Open the system settings by tapping the Apple icon in the menu bar and selecting "System Settings ...".
- Decide on the "Date & Time" area.
- Check the box "Read time:".
- Next to this, select how often the time should be read out in the tab.
- If you want to change the voice, click on "Adjust voice ..." on the right.
- In the window that opens, you can also set the volume and the speed of the announcement.
- With a click on "Play" you can test how it will sound when the time is read out. Clicking "OK" confirms the settings.
