How to disable WiFi on your Mac
If you want to connect your MacBook or your iMac to the Internet via Ethernet and save energy, you should deactivate the WLAN.
- To do this, click on the WLAN symbol in your status bar between the Bluetooth and the volume icon.
- Place a checkmark next to "Deactivate WLAN". The connection is interrupted immediately.
- You can change these settings at any time by removing the check mark.
