Mac OS X Yosemite: Configuring Notification Center - a guide
In the new Yosemite operating system, the notification center has been revised compared to the previous Mac OS X version. Configure the control center freely according to your wishes.
Mac OS X Yosemite: Configure and customize Notification Center
Open the notification center using the icon in the top right of the taskbar.
- In the opened control center, click on the gear icon at the bottom. In the left display of the new window, you can now decide which services your messages should present in the message center. Select a service and define how many messages of the service should appear in the head office and what style the message notification should have.
- In the message center under "Today"> "Edit" you can move other objects (eg the "World Clock") to the center. To do this, click on the respective plus symbol. You can then simply move the objects back and forth in the headquarters. You determine the sequence yourself.
- You can use the "Social" object to log in to Facebook, for example, and thus also receive messages from your social networks directly in this area.
- Click on "Messages" in the head office to read all messages from the mail or iTunes program. You can close read message blocks there by clicking the small x symbol. It appears when you move your mouse over the message block. The respective messages then no longer appear in the head office.
