Mac OS X: Change access rights for individual files
The access rights of individual files can be changed in Mac OS X with just a few clicks.
Change a file's access rights in Mac OS X
- Select the file whose access rights you want to change.
- Click on "File" and there on "Information".
- The information of the file opens. Click on "Sharing & Access Rights" below.
- Now you have to unlock the area by clicking on the lock symbol.
- Click on the access rights you want to change. For example, instead of "Read & Write" only "Read".
- Lock the area again by clicking the lock icon again.
