If you have installed Mac OS X Yosemite, a loading bar is displayed when starting up. We'll explain what that means.
What does the loading bar mean when starting Yosemite?
With the OS Yosemite for Mac, Apple has introduced some innovations. Some confuse the user a little, such as the loading bar when the Mac starts up.
- So far, you only knew the loading bar from installations on Mac. In the new OS Yosemite, it simply replaces the usual wind turbine when the operating system is started up.
- Exceptions confirm the rule - this also applies to Yosemite. If you have activated FileVault data encryption, the loading bar does not appear. In this case, the charging process is accompanied by the wind turbine. You can find out how to deactivate FileVault in a separate article.
