Mac: Deactivate password prompt after hibernation
You can deactivate the password request after hibernation on your Mac. In the settings, switch off the input request completely or set up time intervals. We show you how it works.
How to turn off password request on Mac after hibernation
- Start the "System Settings" via the Spotlight search or from the Dock.
- Select "Security" under "Personal".
- Navigate to the "General" tab (see picture).
- If you remove the check mark, you will no longer be asked for your password after the next idle state. Alternatively, you can select a time interval by clicking on "Immediately" and decide when your Mac should ask for the password after idle.
