How to sign a PDF on Mac
If you don't want to manually sign and scan your documents, save yourself a little time in the next section.
- Open the PDF with the Mac's own "Preview" tool by double-clicking the file.
- Navigate through the menu bar via "Preview"> "Settings ..."> "Signatures" to "Create a signature ...".
- For the following steps you need a web camera to record the signature.
- Sign in the middle of a white sheet of paper.
- Hold the sheet in front of the camera and make sure that the writing is over the blue line.
- In the "Signature preview" you can see what the digital signature would look like. Select "Accept" when you are satisfied with this preview.
- Open the toolbar by selecting "View"> "Show Toolbar".
- Tap on "Sig" in the new bar (see picture).
- Finally, click on the position in the document where you want to insert the signature.
