Mac: Set up remote desktop - so it'll work
- On the computer you want to control remotely, go to "System Settings"> "Shares" and activate "Screen sharing" there.
- Then go back to "System Settings" and open the "Network" option.
- At the bottom right of the status display you will see an IP address. Make a note of this as it will be needed for the later process.
- Now go to the Mac you want to use to access the other and open the Finder.
- Then press the key combination [cmd] + [K] and enter "vnc: //" in the server address followed by the IP address.
- Confirm with [Enter] to establish a connection. Now you can control the Mac remotely.
