Mac: Safari doesn't load pages - it may be because of that
If the Safari browser on the Mac does not load websites, this may be due to incorrect DNS settings. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Safari doesn't load pages on Mac: Fix DNS issues
Your Mac's DNS settings may have been applied incorrectly, preventing Safari from loading pages. You can do that against:
- Open your Mac's "System Preferences".
- Select the "Network" setting here and select the network you are currently using (WLAN or Ethernet).
- Click "More Options" and then select the "DNS" option.
- If you find entries in the "DNS server" and "Search domains" fields, select them and click the "-" symbol at the bottom of the field to delete the entries.
- Then the entries should be filled in automatically. Save with "OK" and "Apply".
- Switch to Safari and open any page for testing. The problem should be solved.
