Mac: Safari won't quit - this is how you solve the problem
If the Safari browser on your Mac doesn't shut down, you have two options to change it. We show you how to close the browser completely.
With one click you can exit Safari permanently
If your Safari browser is still open, even though you have actually closed it, do the following:
- You can see whether the browser is still active when the small light under the symbol is still lit.
- Then right-click on the Safari icon.
- Safari will definitely close when you click "Exit".
- If that doesn't help either, click on the apple in the top left and select "Quit Immediately".
