Mac: change sorting in Finder - how it works
In this practical tip we explain how to change the sorting in the Finder on your Mac. If you would like to sort according to certain criteria such as "tags" or "modification date", we will show you how best to proceed.
How to change the sorting in the Finder on your Mac
Similar to Windows, you can change the sorting of programs and files in the Finder on your Mac.
- Open the Finder from the Dock.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to sort.
- Tap the gear in the top bar (see picture).
- Under "Align to" select the desired order, such as "Program category".
