Mac: "Save as" on Pages - how it works

Especially when you switch from Windows to Mac, you notice that Pages no longer has a "Save As" command integrated. The Apple operating system uses a different procedure for this, which is actually easy to understand, but is not always obvious as a switch from Windows.
"Save as" is missing - How it works anyway
There are two ways to save an open document under a new name or a new location on Mac, and therefore also on Pages. The first method is not quite as obvious to former Windows users:
- Open Pages and your document that you want to save under a different name or in a different location.
- Now go to the program bar on File> Duplicate. This will open your document again in a new window.
- You can now save this document as usual under File> Save. Enter your location and title and then click "Save".
"Save as" is not available? There is!
Anyone who says that the "Save As" function does not generally exist on Pages or Mac is wrong. They exist, but unfortunately somewhat hidden.
- To do this, open your document in Pages again.
- Then click on "File" in the program bar and then press the Alt key on the keyboard.
- You can now see that the "Duplicate" command has been replaced by "Save As". Now click on the command.
- Now you can enter a location and a name for your document as usual and then save it.
