Mac Split View - this is how the new function works under Mac OS X El Capitan
- In a window, click on the green icon for full screen mode in the top left. If a plus sign is displayed here instead of the two arrows, the app can neither use the full screen mode nor the split view function.
- Hold the button down for a few seconds. Once the window is highlighted, you can drag and hold it to the left or right side of your screen.
- Release the button as soon as you have found the correct position on your screen.
- Then click on another window to arrange both windows side by side.
