Mac: Open keyboard layout and character overview
To be able to easily open the keyboard layout and character overview on your Mac, only a few clicks are necessary. We show you how it works.
Open the keyboard layout and character overview in Mac OS X comfortably
The keyboard and character overview can be easily configured on Mac for quick access:
- Open the system settings and select the "Keyboard" option under the "Hardware" heading.
- Now activate the checkbox "Show keyboard and character overviews in the menu bar".
- If you want to be able to quickly access the character sets of other languages during your work, for example because you need a æ, ø, or å, click on the [Input sources] button and select the desired language (s).
- In the menu bar you can now select the desired language as well as the associated keyboard and character overview by clicking on the flag symbol.
