Mac Terminal: overview of important commands

Important commands in the Mac Terminal
- The "pwd" command shows you the directory in which you are currently located.
- Enter "cd", change to the specified directory. If you enter the file path as the directory, a command could be called "cd / Users / User_name / Desktop". List all contents of a directory with "list".
- You create a folder by entering "mkdir" in the terminal. For example, enter "mkdir folder_name". Then the folder named "folder_name" is created in the directory where you are.
- Open the specified file with "open".
- With "man" you can find out more about the given command. Leave "man" with the q key. For example, if you want to learn more about the "open" command, write "man open" in the terminal and press the Enter key.
- Type "clear" and press the Enter key to clear the terminal window.
