Mac: Share USB printer via WLAN - so it'll work
Many USB printers today also support WLAN integration. On a Mac, you can easily share the printer over WiFi.
Share printer over WiFi - how it works
For sharing in WLAN, it is irrelevant whether the printer is connected to the Mac via USB or via WLAN.
- Open the system settings and click on "Print & Scan".
- In the overview window for printers, mark the desired printer and check the box "Share this printer on the network".
- To be able to access the printer from another device, you must then activate the sharing. To do this, click "System Settings" Shares "" and check "Printer sharing". Here you can also specify who can access the printer.
