Connect MacBook Air via LAN - how it works
Internet connections via LAN are faster than via the WLAN network. We will therefore explain how to connect your MacBook Air via LAN.
MacBook Air: connect to the Internet with an adapter
To connect a LAN cable to the MacBook Air, you need a network adapter.
- First, get the right USB adapter.
- Simply connect the adapter to a free USB port on your MacBook. Then connect the LAN cable to the adapter and your router. You can already surf the Internet via LAN!
- Note: If you have connected the MacBook Air via LAN and the adapter is not recognized, go to System Preferences and then to "Network". Click on the "+" symbol at the bottom left and the adapter will be recognized.
