MacBook: Show hardware - how it works

Here's how to view your MacBook's hardware
If you would like to replace your old hardware with new components, the next section explains how you can display the hardware.
- Tap the Apple icon in your menu bar.
- Choose "About This Mac".
- In the window that opens, click on "More information ...".
- You will receive initial information about the processor and the graphics card.
- Opt for "System Report ...".
- You will now see the entire hardware configuration. Navigate to the components you are looking for via the menu items such as "USB" on the left.
