"Battery maintenance" message on Macbook - you should do that now
A battery has a limited lifespan. If this ends, your notebook responds with the message "Battery maintenance". But that doesn't immediately mean that you need to replace the battery:
- First of all, you should make a backup of your data for security reasons if there are problems with the battery and the system can no longer be switched on.
- Fully charge your MacBook and then disconnect it from the electrical outlet.
- You can then use the MacBook until the battery is fully discharged and the device goes into sleep mode.
- If this is the case, you can reconnect the device to the power and charge it until the battery is full again. The message should then no longer appear.
In an emergency: replace the MacBook battery
If the full charging cycle does not help, a new battery is already worthwhile. You should make sure that the battery is an original Apple product.
- At Amazon you will find a large selection from around 40 euros.
