Switch off the internal MacBook monitor with a key combination
For example, turning off the monitor on your MacBook during a long download saves battery power. But even if you want to display the image on an external monitor, it makes sense to switch off the internal display.
- To do this, you have to hold down the Ctrl, Shift and Eject keys (key in the top right corner) for a few seconds.
