Helpful keyboard shortcuts on the MacBook
You should definitely know these five shortcuts:
- Unfortunately, most MacBook keyboards lack the delete key. With the combination "fn" + "backspace" (delete / backspace) you can retrofit "remove".
- With the combination "cmd" + "Tab" you can switch between all active applications.
- Press "cmd" + "spacebar" open "Spotlight" and can search your Mac for files and programs.
- Use the key combination "cmd" + "Shift" + "4" to create a screenshot. Simply use the crosshairs to draw the area you want to map.
- A long press on a letter opens a pop-up with umlauts, special characters and accents. If you press the number below the respective special character, it will be inserted. The function is available from Mac OS X Lion.
