The original power supply of the Apple MacBook has 60 watts. You can also easily use the MacBook Pro's power adapter, which offers 85 watts.
- The power is measured in watts, i.e. a power supply unit with 60 watts can provide a maximum of this wattage of power.
- Your MacBook "only" consumes as much watts as it needs at the moment, up to 60 watts.
- You can easily use a power supply unit with a higher wattage.
- You can also use power supplies with a lower wattage, such as the MacBook Air with 45 watts, but it does not deliver enough power when the MacBook is under high load.
- You should be careful with the voltage volt (V). Use only a power supply that has the correct value. For the MacBook Pro, for example, that's 18.5 volts.
