Uninstall MacKeeper - Here's how
If you want to completely uninstall MacKeeper, there are a few things you should consider. We'll show you how to do it best.
Uninstall MacKeeper in just a few steps
- Quit the MacKeeper application. To do this, click on the MacKeeper icon in the toolbar so that you can select "Exit".
- Open the Finder and switch to the "Programs".
- At this point, drag the MacKeeper icon to the trash.
- You must now enter your password. Then click on "Uninstall MacKeeper" in the uninstall dialog at the top right.
- You have to enter your password again for confirmation.
- Ultimately, you can completely empty the trash to completely remove MacKeeper from your PC.
Alternatively: Remove MacKeeper with Uninstaller
If MacKeeper cannot be removed in the manner described above, you should use a separate uninstaller.
- To do this, download the free "AppCleaner for Mac" and install the tool.
- Search for the "MacKeeper" under "Programs" in the AppCleaner and click on "Search" in the lower right corner.
- Then mark all linked files by ticking each box and then clicking "Delete".
