MacOS: Flashplayer update does not work - what to do?
Many Mac users have noticed that the latest update of the Flash player is not working. The Adobe Flash Player notifies you of a new update and has it downloaded via the browser. When opening the DMG file, however, the installer hangs on the loading bar. We'll show you what to do in the case.
Flashplayer update under MacOS
To update the Adobe Flash Player, you have to import the update manually.
- To do this, enter "//get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/" in the browser.
- Check that the information under "Your system" on the left side is correct for your computer and, if not, choose another installer.
- Now click on "Install Now" and wait for the file to download.
- Go to the "Downloads" folder in the Finder and click on the "AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller [....]. Dmg" file.
- Wait until the image has extracted and open "Install Adobe Flash Player". From now on you can follow the instructions and install Adobe FlashPlayer as usual.
