MacOS Sierra: Hey Siri activate - how it works
Apple has not currently integrated the Hey Siri function in MacOS Sierra. The practical command can be retrofitted with a trick. We'll show you how it's done.
MacOS Sierra: Activate Hey Siri
- Click on the apple icon in the top left and select "System Settings". Click Accessibility.
- Select the "Dictation" option. If you have not already done so, you must activate the function at the bottom of the advanced dictation settings.
- Check "Activate keyword phrase for dictations". Enter "Hey" as the keyword.
- Now switch to the "Dictation commands" and tick "Activate advanced commands".
- Now you can add a command using the [+] button.
- For "After speaking:" enter "Siri", for "When using:" select "Any program".
- Under "Execute" select "Open Finder Objects" and use the search field to select "Siri.app".
- Confirm your entries. Now the command "Hey Siri" should start the voice assistant.
