MacOS X: Clear DNS cache - how it works
With MacOS, host names or IP addresses that are no longer current sneak into the cache should you clear the DNS cache. We will show you how to do this here.
Mac OSX: Clear DNS cache
Sometimes a website changes its host IP. If your system has now cached the old IP of the page, your DNS queries will not work. In this case, you must therefore clear the DNS cache:
- Search for "Terminal" in the Spotlight and run the program.
- For OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard or earlier, you must enter the "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache" command (without the quotation marks).
- In OSX Lion and up the command varies, you have to type "sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder".
In this article, we will tell you how to connect your XBox-360 controller to your Mac.
