MacOS X: Select text with QuickLook
The Mac OS QuickLook feature can display PDFs without opening the file. If you also want to select text, you only have to enter a short command into the terminal.

QuickLook shows you PDFs and other files quickly and easily. Marking and copying text on the file is only possible in QuickLook after you have entered a short command into the terminal.
- Open the "Terminal" via "Spotlight".
- Enter the command "defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection -bool true killall Finder" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- The Finder is restarted. With QuickLook you can now select and copy text.
Mac OS X - Undo QuickLook setting
With the command "defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection -bool false" you can switch off the selection of text in QuickLook.
