The perks or special abilities are unlocked via the sub-bosses.
- In Mafia 3 you have to gradually conquer the sub-districts of New Bordeaux and distribute them among the sub-bosses.
- Assign businesses and districts to a sub-boss to increase their reputation and income.
- If you've increased a sub-boss's income to a certain amount, unlock improvements.
- Some improvements will be credited to you automatically. If you have reached a certain amount with Vito Scaletta, you will receive an additional health bar without any further action.
- Vito's income is generally critical to Lincoln's health improvements. In contrast, Cassandra can improve weapons and Burke can improve cars.
- To get stronger in all areas, you shouldn't neglect any of the sub-bosses.
