MAGIX: How to create 3D graphics
With the right tool, you can create 3D graphics without any previous picture editing skills. MAGIX offers two different software tools for this. We show you where the differences are and how you create 3D elements exactly.
3D lettering with the Magix 3D Maker
With the 3D Maker you can only create three-dimensional words, but the tool convinces with its intuitive handling.
- Download the MAGIX 3D-Maker and install the software on your computer. Here you can find the free demo version (30 days).
- Open the 3D-Maker and click on "Text options" in the left menu to add your own text. (Shortcut Alt + T).
- Next, you can use the so-called "extrusion options" to define the depth of the letters. This turns the two-dimensional font into a three-dimensional graphic.
- Now you have to adjust the font and background color as well as the shadow of the graphic.
- You can now save the finished 3D graphic as "JPG, PNG and GIF" via "File"> "Export file".
For 3D objects and freestyle: MAGIX Photo & Graphic Designer
The large program "MAGIX Photo & Graphic Designer" can do much more than just create 3D fonts: You can display individual shapes and even photos in three dimensions.
- Install the MAGIX Photo & Graphic Designer (you can find a free demo version here).
- Open a new document and create a new graphic element. You can select this using the Objects button in the toolbar. It is also possible to import your own elements with "Open" and Copy & Paste.
- Then select the 3D symbol in the toolbar and drag the object along the edges until it has the desired 3D effect.
- You can now color the individual pages and change the border style of your 3D object. Shadow and transparency functions are also available.
