Mario Kart 8: tricks instead of cheats

Just like its predecessors, there are no cheats for Mario Kart 8. You must therefore find your way around the Wii U completely without outside help. The following two tips could still help you:

• If you collect as many coins as possible during the race, this ensures additional speed. From the 10th coin there is another speed boost.
• Drifting is just as important: you can slide through the curves with the shoulder buttons and also get additional speed. It gets even faster if you drift twice in a curve.
