The best hidden details and Easter Eggs in Mario Kart 8
Nintendo's new firecracker "Mario Kart 8" is peppered with Easter Eggs and Hidden Details. Some are quite obvious, but some are well hidden. We show you all the hidden innuendos.
- In the Star Cup you will only discover when you take a closer look at the Koopa Mountains. You can see this when you fly down to the airport. Then you have to look very closely to the right to see the Koopa Mountains.
- In the special cup on the first stretch "Wolkenstraße" you will find a large question mark block at the end of the runway, on which you will land after the flight. The question mark block is known, for example, from the SNES game "Super Mario Bros. 3".
- More small details can be found in "Bowser's Fortress" or "Creepy Villa". In "Bowser's fortress" the gate opens before the start and in the "Creepy Villa" the gullwing doors open before the start.
- "Mario Kart TV" is the exclusive broadcaster that broadcasts the races. On some tracks, for example the Mario Kart Stadium in the Pilz Cup, you can see yourself on big transmission screens. Here you will also find MKTV OB vans and small toad reporters on the edge of the route.
- On the Royal Banana Cup slope, you can discover toads in hot air balloons. If you look closely, you will even see the gas flames.
- The Yoshi Valley in the Leaf Cup is a Yoshi nature reserve. You can see that from the fact that there are yoshi eggs all around the route and yoshis can be seen. In addition, the Yoshi Valley is of course signposted accordingly.
- There is a small detail on Toads Autobahn. The route was first used on the N64. The "local" radio station on the motorway can of course only be reached via the 64 MHz frequency. A nice allusion to the N64 route.
- You will find what you are looking for in the Flower Cup at Toads Hafenstadt. On the start-finish straight you see Peach on your left as a statue of liberty. This can be seen very well in the intro of the route.
- In the Stern Sup you will find a matching stone statue with three dolphins in the dolphin lagoon.
- On the rainbow route in the special cup, you will see a spaceship that looks like the squids that block your view with ink while driving or during the intro.
- On the instrument cup of the Blatt Cup you can see blocks hanging in the air with a musical note at the end of the route, if it is again heading towards the start-finish straight. These are represented in numerous Super Mario games, for example the SNES game "Super Mario Bros. 3".
