Masking in Photoshop: This is how masks work
You use masks to hide elements in Photoshop. In this practical tip, we will tell you exactly how masking works in Photoshop.
Masking in Photoshop - all information
- You can use masks to hide or make areas visible in Photoshop.
- These masks are called layer masks. You can use the lasso to cut out these masks and make them visible.
- Vector masks are created with the pen or the shaping tool and are independent of the resolution.
- You can see the existing masks on the right side of the program under "Layers".
- To show or hide the masks, right-click on the layer in the layer window and select "Show layer mask".
- Of course you also have the option to create your own mask in Photoshop.
- Masks can also be reversed if, for example, you want to display a drawing on the layer mask.
