Mouse jumps back and forth - it may be because of that
If the mouse pointer jumps back and forth on the PC, this usually affects work on the computer. This can be the cause and so you can fix the problem:
- If you have a radio mouse, you should first check whether the batteries are still sufficiently charged. Change the batteries for the test.
- Also check whether the USB connector is correctly inserted in the PC. If necessary, remove it and insert it again. With a wireless mouse, you should make sure that the USB receiver is inserted correctly.
- Also make sure that the receiver and mouse are not too far apart.
- Take a look at the mouse settings. To do this, open the Control Panel, click on "Mouse"> "Pointer Options" and remove the checkmark at "Improve pointer acceleration".
- It is best to use a mouse pad that does not cause reflection. Black pads with a non-slip surface are particularly suitable.
- If the problem occurs anyway, test another USB hub on your computer. The socket used may be defective.
- Cleaning the underside of the mouse often helps. Blow out coarse lint carefully.
- If a cell phone lies on the desk next to the mouse, the cell phone signal can interfere with the radio connection.
