If you use multiple screens, it can be useful if you lock the mouse pointer on a desktop. In this practical tip we will show you how.
Hold cursor on a monitor
- Download the Dual Monitor Tools and run the "SwapScreen.exe" file. You may need software such as 7-Zip to unpack the archive.
- Click on the "Cursor" tab in the "Swap Screen" program interface.
- Click the "Change ..." button under "Lock Cursor onto screen".
- A new window is opening up. Check "Enable this Hotkey" and enter a key combination with which you want to lock the mouse pointer on the current screen.
- Now define a key combination for the option "Cursor free to move between screens".
- Finally click on "Close".
- In order for the program to start automatically with Windows, you must finally change the autostart menu.
