McAfee: temporarily switch off protection
Note: Depending on the type and age of your McAfee software, the instructions may vary slightly.
- Double-click the McAfee icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar to start the software.
- At the top left you will find the "Real-time scan" category. Select it with the mouse.
- Then click on the "Switch off" button and select a desired duration.

- Warning: From now on your computer is no longer protected against dangers, do not switch off the virus protection longer than necessary.
