More Netflix subtitles: Chrome extension makes it possible
You won't always find the right subtitles for your preferred language on Netflix. With a Google Chrome extension, however, it is possible to insert subtitles manually.
All subtitles on Netflix thanks to Google Chrome
Only a few languages are included in the subtitles of films and series on Netflix. However, there is a free extension for the Google Chrome browser called "Super Netflix" that allows you to add subtitles manually.
- Download Super Netflix for free in Google Chrome and install the extension. You will then see the Super Netflix icon at the top right of the browser.
- Now open Netflix in the browser and look at a title for which you want other subtitles.
- If you pause the film or series, you will already notice that you have new options in the player. Click the CC icon above to directly insert a subtitle in DFXP format.
- If you point the mouse at the CC symbol, you can also click on "Use SubFlicks". This will take you to a page where you can download subtitles in the correct format for current series highlights, movies, and cult classics.
- Then insert the downloaded file as described in step 4.
- Super Netflix also gives you the ability to change the playback speed of the track being played and display technical information. Simply familiarize yourself with the menu bar at the top of the picture.

If you don't like the extension, you can also use Subtly or Subtitles for netflix in Google Chrome. Unfortunately there is currently no comparable addon for Firefox users, although Super Netflix was also available for this browser for a while.
