Use several Bluetooth speakers at the same time
If you have already tried it, you have probably noticed that the connection with two devices does not work directly. Bluetooth devices can usually only connect to one transmitter. The problem can be avoided with the right tricks:
- Splitter: You can connect the so-called splitter to your smartphone using an audio cable, for example. The connected module has two Bluetooth transmitters, so that two boxes can be controlled. Such devices cost around 60 euros on Amazon, like this model from Kokkia.
- Android: If you have two Android smartphones, download the SoundSeeder Music Player onto the smartphone with the music and the SoundSeeder Speaker onto the other. Connect the two smartphones with one Bluetooth box each. The music then sounds on both speakers, as it is exchanged between the apps and transmitted at the same time.
AirPlay: Use multiple Bluetooth speakers at the same time
- If your Bluetooth speakers are compatible with Apple's AirPlay, you can also use several speakers at the same time.
- Start iTunes on your Mac or Windows computer and you will find the AirPlay icon to the right of the volume control. If you click on it, you can activate all connected AirPlay speakers and adjust their volume.
In the next practical tip, we will show you what you should pay attention to when buying Bluetooth speakers.
