You can combine many small video files into large videos in order to make split films into a complete film again or to combine multi-part series in one file. We show you how this works in this guide.
- Download Media Join and install the program.
- First set the radio button to "Video" and then click "Add".
- An Explorer window opens. Navigate to the videos you want to merge and click "Open".
- The videos are now listed in Media Join. If necessary, change the order with the "Move up" and "Move down" buttons.
- Set the target format and click "Join".
- Enter the target path and file name and click "Save".
- Decide on a suitable video and audio codec and click on "OK".
- The merged video is now created.

Install Media Join and open the software. First select "Video" here and then click "Add". Select the videos you want. MPEG-I, MPEG-II, AVI files and WMV are supported.
After you have placed the loaded videos in the correct order using "Move up" and "Move down", decide on an output format and click on "Join".
If you have no or only unsuitable codecs to choose from, you can use the [[//www.chip.de/downloads/K-Lite-Mega-Codec-Pack_23300451.html|K-Lite Megapack]] to install additional codecs. Alternatively, you can also drag the videos you want to merge one after the other into the [[//www.chip.de/downloads/Windows-Movie-Maker_13007023.html|Windows Movie Maker]] and then use "Save film" as one Save file.
However, only the WMV and MP4 formats are then available.
