Uninstall Microsoft Edge - does it work?
Microsoft Edge is automatically preinstalled on Windows 10. Uninstalling is unfortunately not easy, but you can deactivate the browser if you don't feel like using the new Microsoft browser.
Uninstall Edge: Deactivation possible in the start menu
You cannot completely uninstall the Edge browser from your PC. You can deactivate it in the start menu and delete it from the taskbar.
- If you want to get rid of the edge icon in the task bar, right-click on the "e" icon.
- Select "Detach program from the taskbar" here.
- Also click the Windows icon in the lower left corner.
- At this point, select the "Microsoft Edge" tile with the right mouse button.
- Then decide on the "Detach from start" option.
