Microsoft Paint: Cut out images without a white border
In this practical tip, we will show you two methods with which you can cut out an image without a white border in Paint.
1. How to cut images in Paint without a white border
When you open Paint, you will see a white box. The program simply inserts images that are smaller and are used here in the white box (see screenshot). If so, do the following:
- Open Paint. Do not insert the picture yet. First click on "Resize". Switch to the pixel input and enter a small number in "Horizontal" and "Vertical". However, the number must be at least "1".
- Then click on "Ok". The white box has now disappeared or has been significantly minimized.
- Now insert the picture. The white border is no longer visible.
2. A picture has been inserted into Paint with a white border - what to do?
If you have cut out the image from another image and then copied it into a new template, the white border usually also remains. With a little trick, however, it disappears:
- After inserting the image, only the area of your cut image is highlighted. For this reason you can click on "Crop" directly.
- Once this has been done, the white border disappears and you can continue working on the image.
