With Microsoft Visio you can create drawings quickly and easily. This practical tip shows you how to create a circuit diagram with Visio.

1. Open Microsoft Visio and click on "Categories" in the top center.
2. Then select "Construction" and then "Electrical engineering in general".
3. Clicking on "Create" opens the drawing sheet. Now you can start drawing a circuit diagram.

Circuit diagrams with Microsoft Visio - you have to consider that

• You can simply drag and position the various components from the left onto the drawing sheet.
• Use the key combination [CTRL] + [3] to open the "connector". This allows you to connect the individual components together.
• The circuit diagram can later be saved as a Visio drawing, PDF or in common image formats such as JPEG or PNG. It is also possible to save the circuit diagram as an AutoCAD drawing.
