Microsoft Word: Create only one page in landscape format
In order to create a page in landscape format with Word, you have to work with a page break . This allows you to individually format the section before and the section after the inserted page break. Here's how to do it:
- Click with the mouse on the position in the document where the portrait format should end and the subsequent page should be in landscape format.
- Then select the function Breaks under the menu item Layout .
- There you only have to click on the section breaks / next page and the cursor jumps to the future landscape page.
- You have now set a break and can now define your own formatting for the new section.
Set landscape format for single page in Word
- When your cursor is on the desired page, you can either open the menu for page formatting by double-clicking on the left edge of the page (ruler) or you can select the menu Layout and then Orientation .
- There you select the landscape format instead of portrait format and apply it to the current section . The selected page is now in landscape format. For all the following pages in landscape format, select Document from here (see picture).
- To be able to write in portrait format after a single landscape page, you have to choose a break again and then select the portrait format.
- Note that when you activate the section break with the cursor, you must always be in the last line of the page that is already in the correct format.
On the next page we show how you can set Word to start with page 3 from page 3.
