Microwaves get dirty quickly, so frequent cleaning is a must. To avoid endless scrubbing, we have a few tricks for you to get your microwave clean in no time.
Cleaning the microwave: The detergent trick saves work
You can clean the microwave in a very relaxed manner with your common detergent and sponge. Incrustations and grease cannot be easily wiped off with a cloth.
- Put water and a little washing-up liquid in a saucepan and boil the mixture.
- Then put the pot in the microwave. Close the microwave door, but do not turn on the device .
- Allow the steam of the detergent mixture to spread in the microwave for five minutes or more.
- Then remove the pot from the device and can now wipe off the soaked dirt with a damp cloth.
- Use an environmentally friendly washing-up liquid for the love of the environment.
Clean thanks to vinegar water
You can also bring your microwave back to shine with other household products.
- Put some water and vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Then place the mixture in the device and switch it on at the highest level.
- Let the microwave run for five minutes. Here too, the vinegar water vapor will show its effect.
- The steam softens the stubborn dirt that you can now simply wipe away with a kitchen towel.
- Place a few lemon slices in the vinegar-water mixture to avoid the smell of vinegar. If you select this option, you should let the microwave run for ten minutes.
