Play Minecraft on PSP - is that possible?
Although there is unfortunately no official Minecraft version for the PSP, you can get the classic game on the console. We'll show you how it works.
PSP: Play Minecraft on the console
For the installation of Minecraft to work, you need a so-called custom firmware on your PSP with which you can play homebrew. This allows you to install numerous other games on your PSP in addition to Minecraft. For Minecraft, do the following:
- First open the following Wololo.net website. Here you can find the download for the PSP version of Minecraft.
- Then open the downloaded RAR file and unzip the folder contained therein.
- Now connect the PSP to the PC using a USB cable and open the PSP file directory.
- Open the "GAME" folder in the "PSP" folder and copy the downloaded and extracted Minecraft folder into it.
- If you disconnect the PSP from the PC again, you can start Minecraft like any other game from the list of installed games.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to play PSP games on a PC.
