Minecraft: craft book - how it works

In order for the magic table in Minecraft to have enough energy, you have to craft a book and then convert it further into a shelf. In this article, we will tell you what you need and how to do it exactly.

Crafting recipe: make book in Minecraft

While you only needed one ingredient for books in the first versions of Minecraft, from version 1.3 you have to combine two ingredients:

• For a book you now need one piece of leather and three sheets of paper. You can make the paper from sugar cane. The leather drops cows after you defeat them.
• It doesn't matter how you place the elements in the crafting table. In the end, a book always comes out.
• You can then process these books on a bookshelf. To do this, place three blocks of wood in the top and bottom row of the crafting table. Finally, fill the middle row with three books.
