Minecraft: build castle - how it works
Building a castle in Minecraft is a complex project. We give you tips to make your castle a success.
Minecraft: Find and shape the castle location
A castle looks much more authentic in a suitable location than on a flat surface.
- You tend to find castles at higher points in the landscape. So choose a hill or mountain as your location.
- However, be careful not to choose a mountain that is too narrow or too steep. Otherwise you either have to create a relatively small castle or dismantle a lot of blocks.
- Once you have found a suitable location, think about the type of castle you want to build.
- If you want a more castle-like structure, you should dismantle many blocks for a flat surface. If you prefer a medieval castle, you are more flexible because the individual towers can be adapted to the environment.
- In principle there are no limits to creativity. However, you should know roughly how you want to build your castle. Roughly reserve the space for individual towers and buildings.
Minecraft: Tips for your castle
There is no fixed blueprint, but some elements make your castle look more believable.
- Your castle should have a keep. This is the wide and high main tower that you should start with.
- The main halls of the castle should be built around the tower. Before you start to decorate the castle with ornaments, build the basic structure of the main house.
- Ultimately, you should build the outer towers and connect them with the characteristic protective wall.
- Use "Cobblestone" and "Moss Stone" as material for a classic castle. Mix the stones to make the castle look older.
- Collect tendrils from jungle swamp biomes and attach them to towers and walls.
- How big or small your castle gets depends on you. However, if this is your first major project, don't take on too much. Smaller castles can also be expanded as required. This makes it easier to maintain motivation.
