Minecraft: build villages and NPC villages - how it works
Expand and expand a Minecraft village, or pound a completely new one out of the ground? In this article you will learn everything there is to know about building a village.
Build Minecraft Village: Expand NPC Village
Generate normal villages in the biome desert, plain, savannah and taiga. Depending on where the village originates, it has a different construction. Only sandstone is used in the desert, while spruce is used in the taiga. If you want to expand one of these villages in a beautiful medieval-style, there are the following things to consider:
- Each village basically consists of 12 components, which are randomly arranged during generation. If you want to stick to these components, there is a small overview of the instructions here.
- Of course, you don't have to adopt Minecraft style 1 to 1. However, we recommend using the same basic building material from which the village houses are made.
- How in the end the population increases when you have expanded a village is explained in detail in the third paragraph.
Build Minecraft Village: Establish your own NPC village
- Make sure that this new village is at least 66 blocks from a generated village. Otherwise your buildings will be assigned to the old village.
- The basis of an increasing population are two villagers. Since these two are unlikely to move to your new village voluntarily, you will have to transport the residents yourself in the beginning.
- To do this, build a rail track between the two locations. Place a cart on top of it and put the villagers in it.
- The best way to do this is to place the lorry in front of the NPC's front door and then push it in from behind with a left click.
- Once both have arrived safely, nothing stands in the way of building a new civilization.
Build Minecraft Village: Increase villagers
- High population numbers make trade flourish and revive everyday village life.
- You need more houses. This calculates the game taking into account the "valid doors". After three validly placed doors, a villager is created. After every 21 inhabitants, an iron golem appears, protecting the village from attackers.
- A door is only valid if it can be illuminated by the sun and is part of a complete house. A complete house logically consists of four walls and a roof. Houses may only be built from non-transparent blocks.
- Of course, these houses must also be accessible. The difference in height between the entrance and the street must not be more than one block.
- Also make sure that the number of free blocks in front of and behind the door is not the same. Otherwise the game mechanism does not recognize the door either.
- If you have taken everything into account, two NPCs will soon go into such a house. A villager child spawns overnight and civilization grows.
